Meet the Woodlands Family Dental Team

Nikki Conway, New Patient Coordinator

Nikki

I graduated from Texas Tech University in the spring of 2004 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. My experience with Woodlands Family Dental as a patient led to my employment here, and I think that really says something! Dr. Murphey and the team provided me with the kind of treatment that is so hard to come by these days, and I knew this was a place I was going to love. In my personal life, I enjoy decorating, sewing, playing air hockey, and anything to do with my two yellow labs.

Kathy Fischnar, Business Administrator

Kathy

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, with a concentration in Management Information Systems. There are many aspects that I love about my work, including developing caring relationships with our patients, talking with our Spanish-speaking patients, and most of all, the moments each day that are filled with hearty laughter. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, hunting, fishing, and dancing.

Tracy Jones, Treatment Coordinator

Tracy

Woodlands Family Dental is really a great place to work! I appreciate Dr. Murphey’s integrity, his generosity, and his genuine care for both his patients and staff. In my spare time, I enjoy music, reading, and all water sports. A couple interesting facts about me are that I have a degree in Pastry Specialty Bread with a concentration in Chocolate Carving from Seattle Central Community College (in Seattle, Washington), and I also have a certification in Biblical Counseling from the International Institute of Faith Based Counseling in The Woodlands, Texas!

Miranda Lyn Norvell, Register Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Miranda

I have an Associate in Applied Science, Dental Hygiene. I am a member of the Greater Houston Dental Hygienists’ Society, the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association, and the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. My favorite part about Woodlands Family Dental is that we use the latest technology to provide more comfortable dental experiences for our patients, and there are many opportunities to learn new things. In my personal life, I enjoy sewing, cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Karie Janson, Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Kerri

I attended Lakeland Medical Dental Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My favorite part about my job is working with such a great team to fulfill our mission statement. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, going to the movies, listening to music, and spending time with my two kids.

Jennifer Brandt, Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

jenn

I have lived in Conroe since 1995. I’ve been a Dental Assistant since 1995, and I have been working with Dr. Murphey since June of 2007. I am certified in Radiology (x-rays), CPR, OSHA and Infection Control. I thoroughly enjoy working with a dentist who sincerely cares about the well-being of his patients, only wanting what is best for them. I love making our patients feel important and getting to know them as friends, and I plan on working in the dental field and helping others for a very long time. In my spare time, I love to travel, shop, and spend time with my boyfriend, Rodney, and my family and friends.

Susanna Bawcom, Patient Services Assistant

Suzanna

I absolutely love working at Woodlands Family Dental. Dr. Murphey is a wonderful dentist and has put so much thought and time into making this an easy and pleasant office environment to work in, as well as to visit as a patient! I love my interaction with patients and being able to get to know them. In my spare time, I love spending time with family and friends, and I enjoy traveling, photography, and being outdoors.

Here’s a Little More About Our Practice...

A Clean & Safe Office

Operatory Room

Do you ever worry about cleanliness in dental offices? We understand your concern. That’s why we go above and beyond for you, exceeding the America Dental Association (ADA) and OSHA recommended standards for a clean and safe practice. We have a dedicated area with state-of-the-art sterilization technology, where every instrument is wrapped, disinfected, and made ready before your visit. We also sanitize each room between patients, and we use a closed water system (rather than everyday tap water). Additionally, we perform weekly spore testing with a third party infection control center. On top of all that, we even have a special hand washing station for your health and safety. We worry about the cleanliness of our office so you’ll never have to!

Education & Credentials

You can be confident in us as your qualified dental healthcare professionals. We are fully trained, skilled, and certified to provide you with the expertise you are looking for. Our team members fulfill their responsibility to continuing education, attending dental conventions, seminars, and lectures. We want to keep informed about new dental products and equipment, stay on top of advancements in dental treatment procedures and techniques, and continually learn how to better serve you and your family as our patients.

Information & Accommodations

We empower you to make smart choices for your oral health and smile enhancements through information and thorough consultation, easy and accommodating financing, and comfortable facilities and care. We also make sure that we are well informed about your medical history, current medications, and any other factor that might affect your dental health and treatment.

A Kid Friendly & Kid Sensitive Office

Kid Friendly Dentist

We strongly believe that everyone deserves a healthy and attractive smile, adults and children alike. Children’s habits, such as teeth brushing and finger sucking, are of primary concern to dentists, because they can seriously affect children’s smile development. We understand that these habits must be treated with sensitivity and patience. Also, we are aware that some children feel uneasy and even scared about dental visits. We have a friendly, calming, and fun manner that will help your child (and you) feel more at ease. We love patients of all ages and hope to see you and your child soon!
