Mission Trips

Dr. Murphey takes his team on a dental mission trip every year. Below are some photos of the 2009 and 2010 trips to Matamoras, Mexico. Enjoy!

“This year (2009) marked my 10th year of having the privilege to serve on an annual trip to Matamoras, Mexico. It is amazing how such a trip can bless your life and the lives of others. It has been a passion of mine to serve, and I am glad that God has put me in a profession to do so. Several ladies from the office attended this year, and we all had the opportunity to brush up on our Spanish as well!”

Dr. Lathrop also donates his time to dental charity volunteer efforts coordinated by the Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation. He has provided tens of thousands of dollars in services to people all over the state of Texas through Texas Mission of Mercy and Smiles on Wheels events.

Woodlands Family Dental Serves Guatemala Missions Through ServingHim Ministries

Woodlands Family Dental will be serving on a mission trip to Guatemala. There will be a team bringing crucial dental and medical aid to those who would not receive it otherwise. This will be Dr. Murphey’s 12th year to serve on a dental mission trip in Mexico or Latin America.

“Over the past 12 years we have made our annual mission trip to Mexico, however we have the opportunity to serve in Guatemala. There will be a team of 5 people from Woodlands Family Dental going on the trip March 17 – 24. We are excited about the opportunity to work with children and adults, as we could potentially treat 700 individuals with the help of ServingHim ministries, “says Dr. Murphey.
